Testing

SONASTARCH (Sona Science centre for Testing and Applied Research) at Sona College of Technology operates and maintains a series of state-of-the-art testing facility, Viz., Sago, Starch & allied products, Oils, Soaps, Protein, Fiber, Cat& Poultry Feed, Sugar, Natural products, Soil, Fertilizer, Ornamental Silver, Gold, Platinum, Water, Wastewater, Irrigation water, Industrial Waste, Minerals, Metals, Lime, Cement, Alloys, etc. The centre, a non-profit / equal opportunity employer is operated and managed with in the Chemistry Department under the auspices of the Faculty of Sciences. Currently, the testing centre is authorized by SAGOSERVE (A Government of Tamil Nadu undertaking, www.sagoserve.com) and Tamilnadu Starch and Sago Manufactures Association (TASSMA) for testing their Sago/ Starch products before commercialization.
